Formal Research Program
Center for Social Research and Formation
The Formal Research Program (FRP) of ITESO's Center for Social Research and Formation is built around four programs:
-
Empowerment and Social Conflict.
This program seeks to contribute to processes of formation and action that have an impact on public affairs, by analyzing conflictive processes within movements and their actions. -
Alternative Regional Development in Southern Jalisco.
The program proposes an interdepartmental model, in partnership with regional actors, for Alternative and Sustainable Development in Southern and Southeastern Jalisco, in order to favor inclusion and an improved quality of life for excluded sectors of the population. -
Political Ecology.
The intention is to foster social dialogue between ecology and politics based on the formation of social subjects who work toward an alternative environmental mentality, grounded in the generation of complex knowledge in the pursuit of sustainable solutions to the socio-environmental crisis. -
Indigenous Interculturality.
The program coordinates a variety of university-based actions related to the topic of intercultural indigenous education, through projects and initiatives of the Jesuit University System and in collaboration with other campuses. -
Migration.
The focus is on addressing this complex and multi-causal phenomenon using a variety of approaches. The purpose of the Migration Program is to generate knowledge and promote initiatives that contribute to the development of alternatives for the migrant population in Mexico, at either the regional or national level.
